The Housing Ballot is done by the JCR annually in 5th week of Michaelmas term. It is conducted by the JCR Secretary, though the Sub-Rector is the ultimate arbitrator of all accommodation issues.

It is a weighted ballot - those with higher points (e.g. second years) will be drawn out first.

a. All current first years will be allocated one point.

b. Current second year classicists and third years who will study for a fourth year of an undergraduate course will have two points.

c. All other students will have three points.

The ballot must always be witnessed by at least 4 individuals, includnig the Junior Dean.

After it is done, the ballot will be displayed in the JCR and emailed out to everyone.

After the results of ballot have been released, students must drop out ASAP if they do not wish to take a room in college.

Documents will be attached below containing more information about the housing ballots as they become available.
