The bar, officially the Undercroft but no one calls it that, is the nightly social habitat for the lesser spotted Exonians who, when the sun goes down, are inexorably drawn to this watering hole with its friendly atmosphere and subsidised alcohol.

Popular as a means of relaxation after a day in the labs or library, the bar would not be complete without its pool table, darts board, table football table, pinball and, of course, the ITBox. For those of you who have not been introduced into the world of ITBoxing (I haven't just made up that word, honest), the ITBox is the quiz machine to end all quiz machines, you will soon become as addicted to it as all Exonians before you have done.

Every fortnight or so the bar stages the collegiate institution known as 'the bop'. Basically a school disco, but worse, an Exonian themed bop (themes are, as a rule, wide and varied) brings together students from across the years to lament the heat within the bar and bemoan the cold outside of it. Nevertheless, bops remain HUGELY enjoyable and highly attended, more enjoyable is seeing the photos afterwards.

The bar is, almost, completely student run, with most of the bar staff being students and yours truly in charge from the student side as the JCR Bar Officer.
