Exeter Mens’ First XI Football Team had a fairly good season last year, leading the table until the unfortunate week of snow triggered a blip and kept us mid-table in the second tier of Oxford college football- meaning we narrowly missed out on promotion to the premier division. We’ve lost a few players for next season, meaning we’ll be looking to recruit a few freshers for the team this season.

The college has two teams, the second being mainly fresher-run, while the first team think we’re pretty good. And aren’t really very good at all. Still, we are hoping to push for promotion this season, so we will be quite committed to the job.

Football socials are also notable; we have had some excellent crewdates (where you might go for a curry and drinks with a girls’ team from another college), as organised by our chief scout Adam Halewood, and will no doubt have a few drinks evenings and bar crawls.

Feel free to send me an email if you want to know more about anything college football-related.
