College Entz
HEY EVERYONE! We are Joe Knox and Mikey Brown, and we will be your Entertainments (Entz) Reps for the coming year! As your Entz Reps, it is our job to fill your lonely, boring days and nights at Oxford University with entertainment to take your mind off of any work your tutors have tried to guilt you into doing…
PARTY ALL THE TIME!
- Entz doesn’t stop after Freshers’ Week: bops run throughout the term, while we promise various other crazy and wonderful events to keep everyone entertained. Plans already in the pipeline include various bar-sports competitions, as well as bigger events such as an inter-Turl-Street-College paintballing day, so we can prove how rubbish Jesus (College) actually are.
- Throughout the year, we will be selling tickets for the best student nights out in Oxford, so if you ever fancy a night out, come and find us propping up the bar or wasting time somewhere else!
ENTZ COMMITTEE!
- Getting involved with Entz is definitely one of the most fun, and most rewarding ways to be a part of college life (it has to be if we are willing to sit through JCR meetings to do it!) For all first years interested, Entz is organised and run through an awesome fresher team who make up the Entz committee, who help with sticking up, painting, postering and thus transforming the bar for bops etc.: if you’re interested, let us know: it’s great fun - where else can you hold “committee meetings” in the pub!?
WORK AND PLAY!
- Although you will have to do SOME work at Oxford, there is still plenty of time to enjoy going out, whether it’s for a few drinks in the pub or a massive night on the “swall”(1)! The best way to manage your work AND have a few good nights out in the week is to organise your time well. Joe and I may not be the best examples of “time managers”, but we have been assured that it is not only possible to get down to the bar every night, but also get all those essays in while avoiding pulling all-nighters…don’t let your tutors scare you into thinking Oxford is all work and no play! We plan to provide plenty of entertainment to ensure that won’t happen!
(1) Northern Irish dialect for the “lash” as it is referred to in England

Looking forward to meeting you all soon!!
